At least that’s what one 7th grader thought. He had never heard of Jesus feeding the 5000 in John 6:1-13.
At first the boy was puzzled, then he was curious as he learned more about the story.
2 Fish, 5 Loaves, 5000 People
Here are the questions he asked me.
- How did he do that?
- He didn’t really feed that many people did he?
- How did he make more food?
- Did this really happen?
- Did everybody get something to eat?
- How could there be 12 baskets of food left over?
Finally, after we discussed the story, this boy was… Amazed!
It is hard for me to believe there are people in Lubbock who have never heard this story. There are church buildings everywhere but not many children going to them.
It is important for us to keep reaching out. Reaching out to children who have never been to church. Reaching out to children who do not know Jesus.
