The party started on Friday when we went to visit children at a rundown apartment complex. We gave away slices of watermelon, played with children and visited with moms. Everyone was invited to church to continue the watermelon fun.
On Sunday we picked up several children and brought them to church. They were given a nutritious meal, had more watermelon fun and were taught about God’s love for them by sending Jesus to take away their sins and give them new Life in Christ.
Most of these children would not go to church or have any way to get there if someone did not come and pick them up. The thief wants to destroy these children, but Jesus gave His Life for them.
